Formosa is Red Pill VR's first proof-of-concept experience of the Audio Lifeform, which is one of many facets of an embodied, audio-reactive realtime musical visualization experience that we aim to build.

An initial version debuted at Oculus Connect 3 in October 2016 featuring a single jellyfish that contained musical data from all four of our instrumentation groupings (drums, bass, chords, and lead) flowing through one body. A second version debuted at CES 2017 which featured a several jellyfish autonomously swimming around you that each represent a musical element. The jellyfishes' paths dictate a 3D audio mix relative to your perspective, and there is a rudimentary amount of remixing possible (solo/mute, high pass/low pass filter, etc).
